EXTREME Faith Camp

Extreme Faith Camp (EFC)

(Camp Trout Lake)

Pine River, MN, July 26th-July 30th, 2021

What is Extreme Faith Camp?

Extreme Faith Camp is the premier high adventure camp packed with incredible activities! High ropes, zip lines, climbing walls, and more! Extreme Faith Camp is integrated closely with other parishes from the Archdiocese, guaranteeing that summer camp is not just a mountaintop faith experience, but one that builds lifelong foundations of faith. Our faith programming is founded in the sacramental life of the Catholic Church, and our mission and work is anything but boring.

This year we have entered into a collaboration with Damascas Missions, an Ohio based Ministry whose mission is to awaken, empower, and equip a generation to live the adventure of the Catholic faith through world-class programs and an environment of encounter.

Extreme Faith Camp 2021 will be hosted at Trout Lake Camps in Pine River, MN. Visit their site to explore the beautiful facilities and activities that will set the stage for your adventure this summer.

Frequently Asked Questions

When is EFC? What grades are allowed to go?

EFC is happening July 26th-30th, 2021 at Trout Lake Camp in Pine River, MN. EFC registration is open to all current 6th - 8th grade students to attend. We are also looking for High School students to be apart of our prayer team and Extreme Team who help to make sure camp runs smoothly while also participating in many of the activities.

How much does EFC Cost? What is the refund policy?

The cost for EFC is $495. Payment information and a $100 initial deposit is required when you reserve your spot, and you may select a payment plan that divides the remaining cost across 3 additional payments paid every other month. Payment and registration will go directly through Damascus, not Maternity of Mary.

Every registration includes a $100 non-refundable deposit. Any additional payments are eligible for a refund up to 1 month before your session, after which point our costs are committed and we are no longer able to provide refunds. We are sorry, but this policy also applies to cancellations that may arise as a result of illness, injury or other unforeseen circumstances as our contracted expenses are also binding. If possible, transfers to another session can be made without charge. If cancellation is motivated by financial hardship, please inquire about campership aid before seeking cancellation. All cancellations must be submitted in writing via email.

*We are currently working on fundraising opportunities to help offset some of the cost.*

What if all the spots fill up?

You can still sign up for camp but will be put on a waiting list until space in available. If you are next in the queue and a spot becomes available, you will have 72 hours to claim the spot. After that, the spot will be offered to the next person in the queue.

Who will be leading the activities at camp?

All of the high action activities (zip line, archery, etc.) will be directed by Trout Lake Camp Staff. The talks and daily teachings will be done by either Damascus Missionaries or Youth Ministers from our parishes of camp. Small group sessions will be lead by our high school leaders participating on Extreme Team.

How will COVID-19 affect EFC?

In light of the present worldwide concern for health and safety posed by Coronavirus (COVID-19,) the staff and leadership of Extreme Faith Camp and Catholic Youth Summer Camp would like to reaffirm our organizational commitment to the physical, emotional, and spiritual safety of every child, employee, and volunteer under our care. Because camp happens in the midst of a close community, we have always taken great care to develop and maintain cleaning and medical practices to address a variety of communicable diseases, both common and rare. These standards of care have been developed in consultation with the American Camping Association as well as our local public health authorities.

As the pandemic continues to evolve, we continue to monitor the guidance on best practices for prevention and the policies in effect at the time of each week of camp will reflect the guidance available at that time. For a detailed description of current and past practices, please find here the protocols implemented by our host camp, Trout Lake Camps, in accordance with guidance from the Minnesota Department of Health.

Does Maternity of Mary need to provide chaperones?

Absolutely! Chaperones get to participate in all the fun as well! If you are interested in serving as a chaperone, please contact Austin.
