Maternity of Mary Synod Small Groups
Invitation: Our parish family will participate in the Archdiocesan Synod as we help Archbishop Hebda chart the course for the local Church. You are an important part of this process and we need you to join us! Don't miss this opportunity. The six weeks are beginning the week of Sept 20th through the week of October 25th.
Synod small groups will meet at parishes across the Archdiocese this fall. Ideas generated in the small groups will guide
Archbishop Hebda as he creates the Pastoral Plan for the future of the Archdiocese.
The responses will also help us here at Maternity of Mary as we journey together as a parish family into a new season of vibrant faith, evangelization, and outreach.
Don't miss this opportunity to:
o Discover more about the Catholic faith with your small group.
o Build a deeper relationship with Christ and build friendships with others at Maternity of Mary.
o Dive into the Archbishop's Focus Areas:
Forming parishes that are in the service of evangelization
Forming missionary disciples who know Jesus’s love and respond to his call
Forming youth and young adults in and for a Church that is always young
Register to be part of a Small Group to pray, reflect on the Archbishop’s Focus Areas, discuss and give your input.
Registration will be after masses on the weekends of September 4-5; September 11-12; and September 18-19.
We also need small group leaders and scribes for the small groups. There will be training in early fall for small groups leaders and scribes. Please contact the parish office if interested 651.489.8825
The goal of the Archdiocesan Synod is to help Archbishop Hebda discern, through a consultative process, the pastoral priorities of our local Church today – and into the near future. Your participation, as the Catholic faithful, is key to a successful Synod. You are invited to participate by offering your prayers, pastoral concerns, and ideas for moving this Archdiocese forward.Questions? Comments? Contact us at [email protected].
