Celebration of Mass
Daily Mass is celebrated Monday through
Friday at 8:00 am.
Weekend Masses are celebrated at 4:30 pm on
Saturdays,
And at 8:30 am and 10:30 am on
Sundays.
Masses may also be celebrated in your home
upon request. Occasions vary from family to family, from Mass at the
death bed of a family member, to a gathering of Catholic neighbors.
Reconciliation & Communal Penance
The Sacrament of Reconciliation is
celebrated every Saturday afternoon from 3:00 to 4:00 pm. Communal
Celebrations of Penance are scheduled during Advent and Lent. Additional
individual confession sessions are scheduled prior to Christmas and
Easter.
Sacraments
Baptism of Infants
Parents intending to have their child baptized
are required to participate in a Baptism class designed to deepen their
understanding of this sacrament and renew their faith. Class is scheduled
every other month beginning in January. We suggest that classes be
attended before the birth of the child.
First
Reconciliation
Children in the second grade, both in our school
and Religious Education Program, begin preparation in the fall to receive the Sacrament of
Reconciliation at a special penance service in early spring. Parents
have the opportunity to learn more about the Sacrament at an informational
meeting in the fall and are also asked to attend a First Reconciliation
Retreat with your child prior to the Sacrament in February.
First
Holy Communion
Children in the second grade, both in our school
and Religious Education Program, who have received the Sacrament of
Reconciliation, may prepare to receive their First Holy
Communion at a special Mass every spring. Parents have the
opportunity to learn more about the Sacrament at an informational meeting in
the fall and are also asked to attend a First Eucharist Retreat with your
child prior to the Sacrament in May.
Confirmation
Candidates have the opportunity to
receive the Sacrament of Confirmation each Spring. Preparation
begins in the 7th grade, for students both
in our school and Religious Education Program. Preparations continue
in the 8th grade with scheduled meetings throughout the year.
Sacrament
of Marriage
Engaged couples intending to marry
should contact the parish priest at least six months before the marriage
is to take place. Marriage preparation includes completion and discussion
of the FOCCUS premarital inventory, attending a marriage preparation
weekend, meeting with a mentor couple in the parish and preparing the wedding liturgy.
Sacrament
of the Sick
We offer a communal sacramental anointing
of the sick once a year during the fall. However, if you wish or need to
receive the sacrament at any other time, please call the parish office.
